EASY window treatment solutions!

My sister Rebecca invited me to be a guest blogger on her site while she was in Spain with her son!

Yipee! Who wants to know all of her secrets?

She adored Holly Hobbie.

Raised turtles.

Had nightmares about BigFoot and was told many times......

Before the "tell all", I had better get to the guest post that I promised her!

I have shared in previous posts, on my blog PriscillasPen, how important my home is to me.

So in this post I want to share with you a little something I did to personalize a very small space.

In our home, that was built in the '60s, we have a bathroom that is about.....

so big...  in other words, it is tee-totally-tiny.

This makes for a tiny window. Which make a tiny window treatment. It was hard to figure out. Making this a tiny problem. (hee hee)

I didn't like curtains, because of the size, nor a valance, because it just made the window look smaller...

so......when money is tight, creativity kicks in.

Tiny window=tiny treatment=creativity.

Meet my tiny window solution......

It was very easy and I know you could brighten up any space using this same method. 

For my window, I purchased a swag of greenery and added my bathroom colors to it.

And Wah Lah!  PERFECT window treatment.

I first added the flowers into the greenery.

I just stuck them in stems and all.

Then I added the bow, or loops of ribbon 

I made the bow from clearance Christmas ribbon and wire.

It was that easy!

Another way to use this same treatment?

 

You can also use the greenery with a valance in a larger window, if you prefer.

That is what I did in our kitchen window.

I know,  the sink is not centered under the window, that is why I always do my dishes with my eyes closed....or stand crooked.

Truly,  if I did that, I would miss the hummingbirds fighting over the feeder, out my kitchen window.

So, I just ignore the crooked window and enjoy the crooked view.

The window treatment included.

Sidenote: to secure the valance onto the window sill, I used a "command hook"

Gotta' love the command hooks!!

That way,  if I change my mind,  which does happen often, I can easily remove it.

But for right now,  it is staying right where I put it.

Easy enough?
