Work Station 301 (PLUS) CeCe's green!

Have you followed the Workstation series? For those of you who are not interested in flipping furniture or doing a large amount at one time....scroll on down. I thought of you guys too and have a fun before and after. : )

The Work Station series is where I talk about how I can complete a "buncha" pieces in a short amount of time.

Start to finish.

If you have followed and read the comments here and on Facebook, you will see that many bloggers use a similar method if they are turning a large amount of pieces.

So......gather round little ones cause this series is about to end.

Work Station 101 shared tips on organizing your area and supplies.

Work Station 201 shared tips on treating all of the items as a "whole". Treat them like one piece. When you prep, you do them all before moving to the next step.

Work Station 301 will hit on the completion and storage.

For the batch below I had one primary color and only a few pieces that were different colors.

This will help you in getting more pieces completed.

You will not have too many things going on at one time.

Downside......

You work area could look like Shrek came by.

Haters gonna' hate people.

With my "primary color", I paint one piece and move to the next.....

And I sand them all , THEN wax them all.

I do not sand and wax each one, one at a time.

I treat them ALL like "one".

Get it?

Got it?

Good.

I then take them to the yard to get pic's of them all.

Most days, unless rain or something else happens. I finish the project from beginning to end.

I popped these out in about four and a half hours.

I am not telling you that to "brag".

I am telling you that to explain that I am doing this with a limited amount of time.

We have "other" jobs and this is my additional income.

I hope one day that it can be my primary income.

Until then.....I will just be as productive as possible.

So, photos are made and then the finished pieces are stored back in the garage until they move to Inlet Queens, Beaches or are sold on Craigslist.

We have limited space so we stack our pieces.

Put towels, fabric or coasters under the top item.

Make sure your pieces are totally dry. The sun is brutal here right now, which is speeding up my drying process and the tops are totally dry when I stack them.

That is it.

I am really enjoying CeCe's paints. Many of you ask who I get mine through and it is still Beaches. They are experts and actually have CeCe visiting them this weekend for a work shop. You can contact them and they will be happy to help you and also find a retailer close to your location to save on shipping. They are that friendly! You may want to visit one of their workshops as well. They are always up to date on what is the newest technique and short cuts.

This batch highlighted the CeCe's Spring Hill Green and it was REALLY hard to photograph, without making it look Shrek green. It isn't in real life. More like a green apple.

I almost didn't buy this piece.

But I loved it's hardware.

Gorgeous, isn't it?

And it was super cheap.

The door was off but all of the hardware was there...so easy repair.

The "Persian hardware" is what made me go with the CeCe's green.

Pieces like this were my inspiration.
