My family was a Home Interiors family to the core. My mom had 3 sisters, who all have daughters. Not to mention her sis in laws from her 4 brothers. I grew up on HI, my first apartment was full of it. Our HI lady was invited to my older cousin's wedding. When I see any HI in the thrift stores, it always brings back mmemories.
What a brilliant idea!!!!!! I cannot get away from your blog. I'll probably be sorry I found you as you have such wonderful ideas! I can't get anything done. I am reading, reading, smiling, jumping up and down and reading some more!!!!!
First I want to say that I love how you "wrote" your post for this! Super clever! And I also wanted to say that I just LOVE doing chalkboards and painting furniture with it too. Never actually made the furniture writable (yet) but I keep drooling over the idea.
I loved your tutorial and just finished redoing a guady gold plastic framed mirror with fabulous detail. I bought it for $20 at my local thrift store, primed it, painted it red then distressed it to let some of the gold show through. It is on the wall in my hall where my husband sees it when he comes in from golf and can see what the menu is for lunch and dinner!! Thank you!
Ha! Fun and cute post. Love the chalk board messages.
ReplyDeleteSonya said it best. I couldn't agree more.
