Well, I didn't have to.
Because I already had it.
Here, I will prove it.
"Whatch you talkin' 'bout Willis?" (Who recognizes that line from a popular old TV series?)
Pretty before picture, isn't it? Sorry for the lighting!
But look now.....
Chalk paint. CHECK!
New Walmart shade. CHECK!
New/USED finial!
WAh lah!
Pretty transformation isn't it?
And I just had to re-purpose what I had.
I love this finial. I found it at a thrift store. I try to pick them up when I can. It was a set of two, so both of my lamps received this transformation. Now I have a new pair of lamps.
Can you see my pretty new curtains peeking out behind the lamp?
There have been some changes going on around here even though you haven't really heard from me in awhile. I will update you on the transformations soon but will provide more "peeks" as well.
Which leads me to.......

Just know that I am not "deserting" my post.
I miss you all and love hearing from you.
So, just a quick update with my lamp transformations.
What do you think?
Do you have any traditional lamps that could use this update?
Let me know.
I can't wait to hear from you!
Love,
Me

I think it's lovely! And it always so cool to make something you have new again. It still surprises me how different stuff can be made to look though. Like, night... meet day :)

ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love the curtains too:)
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than a new lamp is a new repurposed lamp. Don't you just love it when you create something new out of what you already have?
ReplyDeleteAwesome job on this transformation...night & day difference!!! Hopped over from Sunday's Best and I'm happy to be your newest follower. Would love to have you stop by for a visit! Blessings ~ Judy @ www.vintagestreetdesigns.com

ReplyDeleteA very pretty transformation, and I wish she was mine. Love the details and how they stand out now! So glad you shared your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – your creativity helped make the party a success!
ReplyDeleteLove it & yes I sure do have quite a few lamps that could use some make-overs. I have several ideas to just do a switcheroo on some of the shades.
